Who are the Assemblies of God?
The Assemblies of God is one of the fastest growing world Pentecostal denominations. For information on what we believe, see the 16 Fundamental Truths document on the web site www.ag.org. The Movement was founded in Hot Springs, Arkansas, in 1914. The Assemblies is an evangelical denomination believing that salvation is only through accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
How long have you been a missionary?
In 1982, Neil began working in missions at a Christian drug and alcoholic rehabilitation ministry, Western Michigan Teen Challenge. Neil then served as a short-term missionary (5 years), and was appointed as a career (lifelong) missionary with the Assemblies of God in 1988.
How does one become an Assemblies of God missionary?
First, pray! The Assemblies of God has never recruited missionaries. Instead, as men and women sense the call of God on their lives, they go through a rigorous process that usually takes at least a year or more. Following the official appointment, missionaries itinerate to raise their support before heading to their field of service.
For more information, see the web site www.goag.org.
Are missionaries paid?
No, the Assemblies of God has always been a “faith” organization. In other words, I as a missionary believe, by faith, that God will supply my needs each month through the faithful giving of churches and individuals. I do not receive a salary. I need churches and friends like you to help me each month. Go to the Contact Us tab if you’d like more information.
What are some things that people can do for the Rudas?
PRAY! I truly do believe that it is through the prayers of God’s people that I am able to be effective at what I do, and that the unique challenges I face as a family can be dealt with and overcome.
GIVE! At the present time, I are not fully funded. Not only does it hinder my work, but it does weigh upon me emotionally. So I would truly be blessed if you would sense God putting it on your heart to support me each month in my work in missions. For more on this, see the Contact Us tab.
HELP! There are often times when I need particular items for our ministry in missions, especially since so much of what I do involves technology and computers. Feel free to drop me a line to see if there are things I might need that you could help me with!
